MIKA

MIKA is an alternative to an conventional painter trestle. Four wooden laths can be assembled to one trestle. First by  building two X-parts which are then connected by ultra-strong magnets. The advantage of MIKA in comparison to painter trestle is that there is enough space at the narrow side of the table to sit comfortable. Similar to a roof framework, MIKA has an ideal weight distribution. Moreover a low transport volume and the use of regional harvested timber were criterions for its design.

material: solid maple
connection: neodym- magnets
